Seven Nights of Rock, Now Baby, Seven Nights of Roll: S.P.C.A. Event Shakes Up the Home Field

You had to see it to believe: Michael Israel waving to guests after literally throwing paint at a canvas and voila... look what appeared in 6 minutes & was auctioned off for $35,000. There are some happy dogs in Jersey this morning!
step aside tall chick...

Guess who showed up to the Monmouth County S.P.C.A. party at Max Weinberg's (drummer for the E Street Band, Conan O'Brien) last night?

Though there was inside info. that B.S. would appear at the end of the nite, the pathetically jaded Tea Room thought FOR SURE that he would be spending the weekend in lockdown to rest up for a week of performances at MSG (which we will take in on Thursday night).

The Tea Room was thrilled to be wrong!

After a night of martini & tequila bars & yes, an ICE LUGE inscribed with the "Kick Up Your Paws" theme (Fat E would have been proud), the small crowd got bids rolling on incredible performace art by Michael Israel.

The night could have ended there, and everyone would have been happy.

But then HE came out. B.S. shook his ass with all the finesse and love of a true "attention whore," as he described himself on 60 Minutes last week ... and a very happy Press Pimp stood just feet away, camera in hand, to bring you the photos above; his version of 'Seven Nights of Rock' still echoing in her head...

Behind The Tea Room

Before closing on October 1st, the Tea Room visited Henri Bendel to check out photographer Mark Seliger’s book, “In My Stairwell.”

His collection of photography was showcased on the third floor of the store and included Media Whores having their picture taken, quite literally, in a stairwell.

Lenny Kravitz in the buff.

Buffed Bruce Springsteen as well.

Note to self (I.M): must look for black and white photos circa 1984 behind high school gymnasium.

Magically Delicious

wireimage.com

D.W. came into the Tea Room a few weeks ago, reporting first hand on a Bruce sighting at her good friend Sparkle Karen's beach club in Sea Bright, NJ. Apparently his new album 'Magic' isn't the only thing that rocks! Sparkle Karen enjoyed a few moments by the water with the Boss of all Media Whores before he disappeared like, you guessed it, magic!

When he's not at the beach, Bruce has been practicing for his upcoming October tour in Asbury Park to a small, select audience.. Thanks to our frequent visits to Asbury, we have learned a few juicy tidbits: First, he's moving the release of 'Magic' up to Oct. 2nd... and second, the album has such buzz around it, the Tea Room hears that it's a top contender for the 2008 GRAMMY Awards 'Album of the Year,' which despite the Boss' 15 GRAMMY Awards, has eluded him. Remember, the upcoming GRAMMYs are the 50th Anniversary of the awards - a musical Media Whore's dream! Anniversaries are hot right now (think GQ, Valentino). Bruce is hot right now. Look for them to combine the two heated sources for one incredible night.

Happening at London Fashion Week Right Now...

We thought New York had the lock on psycho suits this season. London designer Danielle Scutt proved us wrong! The tight buns and ticked-off faces are screamingly anti-Media Whorish, yet the heretofore unseen tape work on the models did grab us. The Tea Room is thinking that D.W. can wear the look on the left when she goes trick-or-treating at Bruce Springsteen's house this Halloween. Previous attempts at getting his attention by dressing as the female version of Little Steven have gone virtually unnoticed...finally, a costume he can sink his teeth into.
